(TAP- Ahmed Gaddeh) – The 11th session of the "zoom on regions" programme, organised by TAP news agency, in co-operation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS), kicked off on July 13 in Sousse governorate.

A TAP reporter team taking part in the session will focus mainly on issues related to tourism in Sousse governorate, particularly during the post COVID-19 period.

At the opening of the six-day session, Director of TAP External Relations Department Chaouki Aloui stressed the importance of the "Zoom on Regions" experience in terms of diversifying the local press product, highlighting the role of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in supporting this programme.

KAS Resident Representative Holger Dix welcomed the resumption of the programme after being halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He shed light on the importance of the partnership between TAP and his institution, particularly in relation to these field visits conducted as part of the programme.

"It is an opportunity to discover the country's inner regions. It was interrupted by the lockdown, but we are willing to go on with it, as well as other plans of partnership with TAP," he said.

The "Zoom on Regions" has covered so far 10 governorates and will continue elsewhere, favouring a proactive approach that is not limited to the coverage of hot events but also seeks to go further into the in-depth treatment of newsworthy issues.
