COVID-19: Monastir reports 45 more infections

(TAP) - Monastir governorate reported 45 more COVID-19 infections, taking the infection count in the region to 5,535 since last March 15, Regional Health Director in Monastir Hamouda Babba said on Monday.

These infection cases were reported in Teboulba (13), Sahline (9), Monastir (8), Bekalta (6), Sayada-Lamta-Bouhjar (5), Benbla (2) and Zeramdine (2).

The region also reported 30 additional recoveries, bringing the overall number of recoveries in the region to 4,219 since the outbreak of the pandemic, he told TAP.

According to the same source, 29,915 persons have ended their self-isolation period, while 2,647 others are still placed in mandatory health quarantine in the governorate.
