COVID-19: Monastir reports one more fatality and 58 infections

(TAP)-Monastir governorate recorded Wednesday, one more fatality due to COVID-19, taking the death toll to 144 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the region, The Local Health Directorate said.

According to the same source, 58 more infections were reported in Monastir, where the overall number of positive cases has reached 5,613 since the outbreak of the pandemic. 4,339 patients have recovered so far.

The new infections were reported in Sahline (9 cases), Bembla (8), Moknine (7), Monastir (6), Kassibet el-Médiouni (5), Teboulba (5), Jemmal (4), Bekalta (5), Sayada-Lemta-Bouhjar (3) and Zeramdine (1).

The governorate of Monastir counts now 1,130 virus-carriers, Local Health Director Hammouda Bebba specified to TAP.
