(TAP) - Five additional COVID-19 fatalities were reported in Gabes governorate during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll in the region to 79, since the outbreak of the virus.

Besides, 31 more infections have also been reported in the region, out of 113 tests made, head of the local health directorate in Gabes Houssine Jobrane told TAP on Wednesday.

The governorate currently has 441 active cases, including 127 in South Gabes, 88 in Gabes city and 67 in El Hamma, according to the same source.
