(TAP)-The governorate of Sfax reported 9 fatalities due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 423 in the region since the outbreak of the pandemic, according to the latest statistics released by the local health directorate. The region also recorded 226 additional infections, bringing the tally to 18,160 cases, 14,918 of whom have recovered, the same source specifies.

138 patients are currently in the "COVID-oxygen" ward of the Hédi Chaker University Hospital, 95 people are treated in clinics and 18 patients are placed in the intensive care units of the various hospitals in Sfax.
