(TAP)-The Kairouan governorate registered 88 more COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, from 356 conducted tests.

These positive cases were reported in Kairouan (26 cases), Bouhajla (23 cases), Sbikha (16 cases), El Alaa (10 cases), Nasrallah (7 cases), Oueslatia and Huffouz (2 cases) and Chebika (one case).

However, the region has recorded zero fatalities over the past 48 hours, Local Health Director Mohamed Rouis told TAP.

The occupation rate of the ICUs at the Ibn Al-Jazzar hospital in Kairaoun has reached its maximum capacity (5 beds).
