COVID-19 : new measures announced in Kasserine to break chains of transmission

(TAP) - A package of exceptional measures designed to break transmission chains and contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kasserine was announced by the regional committee to fight coronavirus considering the spike in infections over the last two weeks.

These measures include a 7pm-5am curfew for all motorbikes and passenger vehicles and a 10pm-5am curfew for natural persons. Weekly markets are also banned along with the use of chairs and tables in cafés .Hammams, sports halls and children's day care centres will be shut down. The new measures will be in force for ten days starting April 16.

A centre will be set up shortly in Sbeitla to provide vacinations to locals from Sbeitla, Laâyoune and Jedelienne, said Governor Adel Mabrouk.
