(TAP) - A fire broke out Monday morning in a used clothing warehouse in the Ben Arous industrial zone covering an area of 5,000 square metres, causing damage to nearly 3,000 square metres. The fire caused a partial collapse of the building's roof. No human casualties have been reported so far, said official spokesman for the Civil Protection Moez Triaa. The warehouse in question has been closed for nearly a year and a half, he pointed out in a statement to TAP, indicating that efforts are ongoing to prevent the spread of the fire into neighbouring plants. The Civil Protection units contained the fire on 4 sides and opened external exits in the building's walls, Triaa added. |
