Flight from Austria lands in Djerba-Zarzis Airport for first time since 2019

(TAP)- A flight from Austria, on Saturday, landed at the Djerba Zarzis international airport, announcing the return of Austrian tourists to the region.

This is the first flight from Austria to that airport since 2019, after flights were disrupted by the COVID pandemic.

174 tourists were on board this flight scheduled at a frequency of once a week.

The frequency of flights will be raised in accordance with demand, local tourism delegate in Medenine Hichem Mahouachi told TAP.

The resumption of this flight as well as others from European destinations announces a promising tourist season and a return of economic dynamics in the region, he pointed out.
