(TAP) - A batch of medical equipment intended for the maternity ward was delivered, Friday, to the Kébili local hospital, in the form of a donation from the Japanese Embassy in Tunis in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The donation estimated at 100 thousand dinars will help upgrade the infrastructure of the hospital's maternity ward, which ensures the birth of 2,500 newborns annually, hospital director Slawa Mezgheni stated to TAP. The delivered equipment consist in an ultrasound machine, two neonatal incubators, a breathing apparatus for children and two gynaecological tables. |
