(TAP) - Beja governorate saw 42 new infections with the coronavirus in the latest 24 hours, after publishing the results of 93 tests, i.e. a positivity rate over 45%.

The case tally in the region has reached 26,191, while 8 patients are currently hospitalised, according to data published by the Local Health Directorate on Wednesday.

The incidence rate in Beja has risen to more than 44 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, the same source added.
