(TAP) – The governorate of Sidi Bouzid, on Saturday, recorded a new death from coronavirus. This takes overall fatality numbers from the pandemic to 1050, since the spread of the virus in the region, deputy local director of primary health Bechir Saidi told TAP.

The governorate also logged 61 more COVID-19 cases, bringing total cases in the region to 40,476, including 40,069 recoveries.

The new positive cases were detected in Souk Jedid (12), Menzel Bouzaiane (1), Regueb (1), East Sidi Bouzid (2), West Sidi Bouzid (36) and Sidi Ali Ben Aoun (9).
