(TAP) - The olive harvest for the 2022/2023 agricultural season is expected to reach 60 thousand tonnes against 31.5 tonnes for the 2021/2022 season, up 47.5%, according to the latest estimates of the Gabes Agricultural Development Authority. The production of pomegranate is estimated to rise to 25 thousand tonnes and that of dates to 22 thousand tonnes, according to the same source. Regarding the fishing sector, the total production at ports and landing points in the governorate reached over 16 thousand tonnes by last August against more than 10 thousand tonnes during the same month in 2021, up more than 50%. |
