(TAP) - The third round of civil service wage talks started Thursday in Kasbah.

The government delegation notably included Social Affairs Minister Mohamed Trabelsi, Civil Service Minister Kamel Morjane and Secretary General of the Government Riadh Mouakher. The Tunisian General Labour Union (French: UGTT) delegation is made up of Executive Bureau members Monêm Amira, Slaheddine Selmi and Kamel Saad.

Specific increases for engineers, university professors and doctors will also be looked at, as their situation "significantly deteriorated," said Secretary General of the labour union Noureddine Taboubi.

Earlier Tabboubi told reporters the third round of pay negotiations in the civil service will not be "tough" and will come to a close in the shortest time possible. Talks are set to end before late July, he said.
