"Sehaty" project kicks off

(TAP) – The “Sehaty” project in Douz (Kebili governorate) kicked off on Friday by the Doctors of the World Belgium’s Tunisian branch in co-operation with Health Ministry and the Mourakiboun Network.

This project is part of “Essaha Aziza programme”, funded by the European Union with a budget of €20 million, Sehaty Project Manager in the south Ramzi Majdoub told TAP.

A €2.5 million-budget will be devoted to the implementation of the Sehaty project by the Doctors of the World Belgium that aims to the impairment of the quality of care services and access of deprived families to front-line health care services in Tunisia, he pointed out.

The Health Ministry will provide the necessary equipment and training of medical staff while the Sehaty project will provide assistance to association active in the health field, in terms of management, action plan development, and stepping up their co-operation links with health institutions and administrations,” he indicated.

For her part, National Director of “Essaha Aziza” programme Leila Arbi Doghri affirmed that as part of this programme, the Kebili governorate will benefit from various front-line health equipment worth over 4 million Tunisian dinars and that meets the needs of region in this field.
