Dignity- contract programme targets 25,000 higher education graduates

(TAP) - The State will continue its efforts during the year 2020 to strengthen the employment sector through the assumption of responsibility for the national employment fund with a budget estimated at 450 MD to finance, in particular the dignity- contract programme for the benefit of 25 thousand graduates from higher education with costs of 46 MD.

The document of the draft state budget for the year 2020 includes, in its chapter devoted to vocational training and employment, the financing of small projects by the Tunisian Solidarity Bank (French: BTS) up to 70 MD through micro-credits, in addition to an amount of 131 MD allocated to the contract of initiation to professional life in its new version.

A programme to support small businesses and strengthen young entrepreneurs will be carried out as part of the social and solidarity economy (15 MD) and digital economy (8.5 MD) programmes.

According to this document, a partnership programme will be developed at a cost of 3 MD aimed at consolidating regional and local initiatives with high employability, facilitating the integration of jobseekers into working life and involving civil society components in the regions in the design, preparation and implementation of this programme.

The draft state budget 2020 proposes, within the framework of the national fund for the promotion of crafts and small trades, to finance about 5 thousand projects with a budget of 66 MD.

According to this document, Some 15 MD will be allocated to the completion of the construction work of vocational training centres, in addition to the creation of new learning and training spaces and the financing of further training activities (6 MD).
