Anti-COVID-19 fight: IBRD to grant Tunisia €18.3-million loan

(TAP) - The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) will grant Tunisia a €18.3-million loan (57.6 million Tunisian dinars) to help it in its efforts to combat COVID-19.

The loan agreement concluded on May 11 was approved on Thursday by the Cabinet meeting.

According to a law related to this loan, a copy of which was received by TAP, the reimbursment of this loan which interest rate is set at 0.5% (Euribor + fixed spread) will be paid over 15 years with a three-year grace period.

This loan will support the national anti-COVID-19 plan set up by the Health Ministry with an implementation cost estimated at $157 millions.
