(TAP)- Minister of Health Abdellatif Mekki warned against a second wave of Coronavirus, in particular pending border reopening on June 27. Border reopening is necessary as Tunisian expatriates will head home but a package of beefed-up protection measures is required, Mekki told a press conference on Tuesday. He also said Tunisians are presently showing little compliance with preventive measures amid a new outbreak in many countries. "Tunisia managed to contain the spread of the virus but this should not mean little observance of prevention measures," he added. The ministry is collecting data and discussing issues in relation to the epidemiological situation with concerned departments in a bid to gear up for the next stage. |
