(TAP) - Out of 791 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 18 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 19 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement Wednesday.

They include 13 new imported cases and 6 active cases.

The overall confirmed cases has therefore reached 1,319 from a total of 80,538 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.

1,091 patients have recovered and 178 are still carrying the virus. They are under observation.

The number of deaths has remained stable at 50.

The Health Ministry said that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
