(TAP)- Belgium, Spain, Switzerland and China have been removed from the green list and added to the orange list according to the new update of the country classification according to the Coronavirus epidemiological risk level, published by the Health Ministry on July 29.

The green list of countries that have managed to curb the epidemic (low spread of the virus) have remained unchanged (78 countries compared to 79 countries in the update published on July 23).

According to the weekly update drawn up by the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases, which is based on scientific criteria and epidemiological indicators derived from the various data sources used by the various international authorities, the orange list has remained unchanged with 43 countries compared to 44 in the previous update.

Austria, Djibouti, Mongolia and the island of Guam returned to the green list after being included in the orange list last week. Jordan is the only Arab country currently on the green list.

As far as the European countries are concerned, the green list includes, among others, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and the Netherlands.

The orange list includes, inter alia, Belgium, Spain, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Japan, Cameroon and Canada.

The Scientific Committee to Combat Covid-19 had determined three classifications of countries according to the level of prevalence of the epidemic (green, orange and red). After the opening of borders on June 27, 2020, people from countries classified as "green" (low spread of the epidemic), are not required to provide a negative laboratory test and are quarantined.

Travelers from countries classified on the orange list are required to provide a negative laboratory test (72 hours on the date of first boarding and 120 hours on arrival) and are subject to home isolation for a period of 7 days if they show no signs and 14 days if symptoms of Covid-19 appear on the affected person.
