One more death from COVID-19 and 116 domestic cases reported (Health Ministry)

(TAP) – One more death from COVID-19 was announced by the Health Ministry on Saturday, bringing the overall number of fatalities to 54 since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The 86-year-old patient died on Friday at the Fatouma Bourguiba hospital in Monastir

The Ministry said 120 more cases of infection, including 116 domestic were recorded from 1494 tests carried out on August 14.

In its daily report on the epidemiological situation in the country, the Health Department reported a total of 142 positive tests of COVID-19, including 120 more cases, 116 domestic and 4 imported and 22 people previously diagnosed with the virus.

The number of overall infection cases has therefore reached 2023 shared out as follows: 1327 recovery cases, 54 deaths and 642 active cases, including 24 hospitalised.
