(TAP)- The Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO) and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) signed, on Tuesday in Oslo, Norway, a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation on social dialogue.

Funded by Norway since 2015, this cooperation has grown into a strategic partnership between the two countries' four social partners, according to the MoU.

The partners will continue this strategic partnership by cooperating together for the implementation of the Social Dialogue programme in Tunisia, the same source said.

To this end, the signatories will meet in Tunisia in the second half of 2023 to pursue the discussions started in Oslo in January 2023.

The goal is to pave the way for a sustained and long-term cooperation between the Tunisian and Norwegian social partners.
