(TAP) - The Tunis Court of First Instance dismissed the case brought against the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) to cancel the proceedings of its last congress, said spokesperson Sami Tahri.

Such a verdict can only anchor the position of the union, to play its national role and save the country, he told TAP on Friday.

The ruling confirms that the various procedures carried out by the UGTT are in accordance with the law; it enhances the national position of the UGTT and its current role in saving the country, Tahri added.
