Works of Enfidha deepwater port project to commence by end of 2018

(TAP)- Works of Enfidha deepwater port project will start by the end of 2018 after the decision to create Ennfidha deepwater port corporation was published Friday in the Official Gazette of the Tunisian Republic, said Premier Youssef Chahed.

The government approved an amount of 31 MTD for the extension works of Sousse Olympic stadium which are estimated at 17 MTD, the Prime Minister told TAP on the fringes of the opening works of the 33rd Business Days in Sousse (December 7-8).

The municipality of Sousse undertook to provide 6 MTD in funding out of the overall cost of the project; works are set to commence in Q1 of 2019.

The extension works concern bleachers and grandstands to increase the capacity of the stadium to 40,000 spectators instead of 23,000 now.

Chahed said, in connection to the visit he paid to the teaching hospital of Sahloul, Sousse, the government seeks to address the needs of the various components of health system and will meet relevant human resource requirements.

The Health Ministry is keen to make new hires in relation to doctors and health technicians, reopen several hospitals and units and bring healthcare services closer to citizens.
