(TAP) - Prime Minister Youssef Chahed Saturday chaired the closing of Gorgi pluriel exhibition at Kheireddine Palace, Medina of Tunis, which was officially opened by President Béji Caid Essebsi on December 7, 2018.

The visit came “in support of the event.” The late Abdelaziz Gorgi was an "outstanding artist in Tunisia,"  the Premier said.

The exhibition is intended to "rehabilitate all Tunisian artists who contributed through their works to the national movement."

This is "an important and successful exhibition that managed to draw many visitors," he added .

Chahed also said the Ministry of Cultural Affairs had always offered support to such events. Abdelaziz Gorgi, an artist who gave so much to his country, is at the heart of partnership - through this exhibition - between the public and private sectors.

At the end of a guided tour with family members of the late Gorgi, Chahed signed the guestbook of the exhibition.

He was accompanied by several members of the government, including Minister of Cultural Affairs Mohamed Zine El Abidine, and President of Talan Group Mehdi Houas.

The exhibition is organised in collaboration with Gorgi art gallery and Talan Foundation as part of the commeomoration of the artist’s 10th death anniversary.
