Finest Tunisian produce showcased at Paris International Agricultural Show

(TAP Correspondent in Paris Moufida Barhoumi) -Tunisia is present at the Paris International Agricultural Show, "the largest farm of France", inaugurated Saturday, February 23 in Paris, by French president Emmanuel Macron.

The participation is organised by the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) and the inter-professional vegetable group (GIL).

This Sunday is dedicated to Tunisia to publicise national produce. On this occasion, tastings of Tunisian products and recipes are organized.

During this 56th edition of the show that will run until March 3, 2019 on a stand dedicated to Tunisia, different exhibitors present their flagship products, namely olive oils, wines, citrus fruits, dates, geothermal tomato ...

The objective is to make them known and to value them with the very numerous public that frequently attend this event.

New this year, 4 products awarded at the Tunisian Contest for local products are showcased: a Zelfen Prickly pear syrup (Kasserine), a syrup and jam of Kebili dates, dried figs of Matmata (Gabès) and a honey from Beni Khedache (Medenine).

A thousand exhibitors and nearly 30,000 professionals from different trades are present at the Paris Agricultural Show.

More than 700,000 visitors of all nationalities are expected and many countries participate in this key event.
