Cabinet meeting approves economic and social bills and government decrees

(TAP) – The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh, on Thursday, approved a series of economic and social bills and government decrees.

The bills:

– A bill approving a financing agreement signed between Tunisia and the International Fund for Agricultural Development on February 10, 2020 in Rome to finance an economic, social and solidarity integration project in Kairouan.

– A bill approving a loan agreement inked between Tunisia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) on June 15, 2020 in order to finance a recovery and resilience programme.

– A bill approving a loan concluded on July 13, 2020 between Tunisia and the German Institute of Credits for Reconstruction (KFW) to finance a support programme for the reform of the public sector (Phase 1).

– A bill approving Tunisia's accession to Convention 129 on labour inspection in the agricultural sector adopted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) on June 25, 1969.

– A bill approving Tunisia's accession to Convention 187 on the promotional framework for occupational safety and health, adopted by the ILO on June 15, 2006.

– A bill relating to excessive personal debts.

The draft government decrees:

– A draft government decree relating to the approval of amendment No. 2 to the concession contract and specifications relating to the creation and operation of Enfidha-Hammamet international airport and the amendment No. 2 to the concession contract relating to the international airport of Monastir-Habib Bourguiba.

– A draft government decree relating to the approval of amendment No. 3 to the concession contract and the specifications relating to the creation and operation of Enfidha-Hammamet international airport and on the amendment No. 3 to the concession contract relating to the Monastir-Habib Bourguiba international airport.

– A draft government decree on the creation of a national council for training and skill development, as well as a network of institutions and public training structures, in addition to defining of their prerogatives and modes of operation.

– A draft government decree approving the two final reports of the Committee of Inquiry and Identification of State Lands in the Governorate of Gafsa (the two delegations of El Guettar and Om Larayes).

– A draft government decree approving the final reports of the Committee of Inquiry and Identification of State Lands in the Governorate of Nabeul (delegations of Hammamet and Takelsa).

– A draft government decree on the creation of a management by objective (MBO) unit at the Ministry of Women, Family, Child and Elderly Affairs to monitor the development project of budget management of the State and define its prerogatives and modes of operation.

– A draft government decree on amendment to Decree No. 3502 of 2014, dated September 17, 2014, on the creation of a management by objective unit at the Ministry of Tourism to develop the project of State budget management and define its prerogatives and modes of operation.

– A draft government decree on appointing a member of the National Counterterrorism Committee.

– A draft government decree on laying down the conditions and procedures to benefit from circumstantial aid for the private media, to address the repercussions of the preventive measures taken against the spread of the COVID-19.

Presentations on the balances of the draft state budget for the year 2021, the health situation and the level of supply during the next stage were given to the Cabinet meeting.
