(TAP) - Tunisia reported, Thursday, a new record high of fatalities due to COVID-19, reaching 100 deaths in one day, Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi said Friday.

The outcome of the general lockdown (from January 14 to 17, 2021) and the targeted lockdown (from January 18 to 24) will be evaluated in the next two weeks.

On January 20, Tunisia recorded a total of 190,884 confirmed infections, including 137,460 recoveries and 5,989 fatalities.
