(TAP) - 855 COVID-19 infections (out of 4,310 conducted screening tests) and 42 fatalities were reported on February 24, The Health Ministry said Thursday in its daily report on the epidemiological situation in the country. 

As such, the infection and death tolls have so far reached 231,298 and 7,911, respectively.

The recovery count also rose by 3,457, hitting 195,739. 

The ministry further added that 1,145 patients were hospitalised on Feb.24, 259 in intensive care units and 107 under ventilators in public and private health facilities.
