Italy provides Tunisia €200 million

(TAP / Maroua Ben Abdennebi) – Italy will provide Tunisia €200 million, €50 million in grant and €150-million in loan at a preferential rate to finance development projects and economic recovery, under a memorandum of understanding signed Wednesday in Rome.

The memorandum of understanding of Tunisian-Italian cooperation in the field of development for the period 2021-2023 was inked by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi and his Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio.

It is part of President Kais Saied’s two-day official visit to Italy, at the invitation of his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, which began Wednesday.
