Davis Cup World: Tunisia access World Group 1 for first time in history

(TAP) – Tunisia's national tennis team have accessed the Davis Cup World Group 1 for the first time in their history, after winning Saturday's doubles game against Zimbabwe.

Malek Jazi and Skander Mansouri, on Saturday, defeated Benjamin Lock and Courtney Lock two sets to none (6-3, 6-2), before Aziz Ouakaa secured the fourth win over Thabo Ncube (6-4-6-4).

Tunisia therefore lead lead 4-0 before the fifth and final game pitting Aziz Dougaz and Mehluli Sibanda in the evening.

Malek Jaziri and Aziz Dougaz, on Friday, won their singles' games against Mehluli Sibanda (6-0, 6-1) and Benjamin Lock (2-6, 7-6 and 7-5), respectively.
