(TAP) - The official and final voter turnout in the January 29 legislative run-off elections stood at 11.40%, President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Farouk Bouasker announced at a press conference on Monday evening. ISIE had reported a rate of 11.3%, after the closing of polling stations on Sunday. Some 895,002 voters cast their ballots in the 131 electoral districts during the run-off vote, added Bouasker. The total number of the registered voters concerned with the second round amounts to 7,853,447. Candidates vying for seats in parliament garnered a combined total of 849,104 votes. Spoilt ballots stood at 28,524 and blank ballots reached 17,374, Bouasker further said. |
