Tunis, June 3 (TAP)-Tunisia strongly condemned the treacherous Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran early Friday morning and the blatant attack against its sovereignty and security, in flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter and all international laws and norms, which undermines the pillars of security, peace and stability not only in the region but throughout the world.

Tunisia considered in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad that the brutal attack on Iran is a new chapter in the series of repeated and continuous crimes and attacks committed by the Zionist enemy, and further proof of this entity's persistence in its arrogance and aggressive policy.

Tunisia affirmed its solidarity with the brotherly Iranian people at this critical time, renewing its call on the international community, and in particular the Security Council, to intervene immediately and decisively to put an end to the Zionist entity's rampage, aggressive behaviour and impunity.

The Iranian authorities on Friday morning announced that the Zionist entity had launched air strikes on civilian areas and nuclear facilities. They also announced the martyrdom of civilians and a number of senior military leaders and nuclear scientists.

For its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced on Friday evening that it had launched attacks on dozens of targets in Israel in response to the air strikes on Iran.
