(TAP) - Over 40 children remained blocked in a bus at the village of Babbouche in the delegation of Ain Drahem (Governorate of Jendouba), said Monday morning the governor of Jendouba to TAP correspondent in the region.

The bus transporting these children was blocked in Babbouche because of the large amount of snow recorded in the region and which caused a disruption of road traffic, he specified.

Members of the Regional Disaster Reduction Commission had managed Monday at dawn to reach the bus walking on foot, and to provide them with the necessary relief supplies to the passengers of the bus, notably blankets and food, reassured the same source.

A heavy snowfall was registered in the area causing a blockage of roads and disruption of road traffic.

Several passengers remained locked in their vehicles waiting for the interventions of security, civil protection and Equipment Ministry services to clear roadways and provide the necessary assistance.
