Tunisia to host 6th AUF conference on development of digital technology in IDNEUF6 university space in 2021

(TAP)- Tunisia will host the 6th conference of the Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF) on the development of digital technology in the IDNEUF6 university space in 2021, says a statement issued Tuesday by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

On the fringes of his participation in the conference of Francophone Ministers of Higher Education, held in Bucharest as part of the meetings of the Initiative pour le Développement du Numérique dans l'Espace Universitaire Francophone "IDNEUF 4", Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Slim Khalbous met on June 21, 2019, with Sorin Mihai Cîmpeanu and Jean-Paul De Gaudemar, President and Rector of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, respectively.

Tunisia was warmly congratulated on this occasion for the unanimity of its candidacy, presented by Slim Khalbous during the closed session of the Ministers’ conference, to host the 6th edition of the AUF meetings for the development of digital technology in the IDNEUF6 university space in 2021, says the same source. The 5th edition have been assigned to Quebec in 2020.

The meeting focused on an overview of the innovative projects of the Ministry set up in partnership with AUF, including the acceleration of the establishment of the first African digital library at the University of Carthage and the monitoring of the progress of the "Student Entrepreneur" project which will reach its cruising speed in 2020, according to the same source.
