(TAP) The investment, motto in the immediate future of Tunisia, will not be achieved without a newfound stability, enhanced security and a sustainable settled visibility, Wided Bouchamaoui, President of the Tunisian Confederation of industry, trade and handicrafts (UTICA) said Wednesday in Paris.

The UTICA President, who was guest of honor of the Summer University of MEDEF (French employers’ organisation), stressed that to refurbish the image of Tunisia as a country in transition to democracy and an economic development site, the new dynamic created as a result of "unprecedented experiment conducted by an employers' organisation (UTICA) and a labour union (UGTT) around the same project, which was crowned by the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015, has to be reinforced by respect for law enforcement, valorisation of labour and willingness to sacrifice. "

"Reforms, so painful may they be, are inevitable in this context of rehabilitation of the Tunisian economy in its natural regional environment and international repositioning", Bouchamaoui further indicated.

For the president of the employers' organisation, the years ahead will be difficult, but Tunisia has no other choice but to engage in a comprehensive reform program, sometimes painful, to mobilise all its energies for development economic.

"With a new government, a lull that settles gradually and an almost universal awareness of the gravity of the moment, Tunisia advances timidly, certainly, but it will be fine, I am certain,” she further emphasized.

Bouchamaoui concluded her speech by launching an invitation to the French entrepreneurs to participate on November 29 and 30 in the International Conference on the Development Plan of Tunisia 2016/2020 which will be an opportunity for a presentation of the economic reforms undertaken, large structuring projects, and concrete proposals of the Tunisian private sector.
