(TAP) - A terrorist cell operating in the governorates of Gabes and Medenine, southern Tunisia, was dismantled, the Interior Ministry Monday announced.

A Takfiri element was arrested in Chenini, Gabes. He admitted to having sworn allegiance to Daesh terrorist organisation and provided financial assistance to some terrorists who wanted to make the trip to Syria. 

Two alleged terrorists belonging to the same cell were also apprehended in Béni Khedache, Medenine, the ministry indicated.
