(TAP) - A partnership agreement between the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT), the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and national organisations was signed on Friday at the headquarters of the SNJT, for the creation of a website "Khabirat" (experts) aimed at enhancing the contribution of women in media content and the visibility of women's skills in the media. Launched by IFJ in partnership with SNJT and national organisations, the initiative aims to strengthen the presence of women in print, audiovisual and media outlets, the union said on Friday. The names of almost 100 women's skills have already been registered to help furnish the site, make it successful and facilitate research for journalists in all areas, added the union. This experience will be extended to other Arab countries such as Morocco, Palestine and Algeria in order to support this experience on the Arab scale and enrich exchanges between Arab skills. Besides SNJT and IFJ, this partnership agreement was signed by the Independent Broadcasting Authority (HAICA), the Tunisian Television and Radio Institutions, the Tunis-Afrique-Presse (TAP) news agency, the Tunisian Association of Democratic Women (ATFD) and the Association of Tunisian Women for Research on Development (AFTURD). |
